Taliaferro,
MD
Known
simply as
Dr T to her
readers,
Ellen lives
in Half
Moon Bay
and serves
as the
Medical
Director of
the San
Mateo
Medical
Center
Keller
Center for
Family
Violence
Intervention
in San
Mateo, CA.
She speaks
and writes
about the
healthcare
impact of
violence
and abuse
and how
writing can
be used as
a
therapeutic
self-help
tool to
address the
health
consequences
of past
trauma.
Ellen is a
recovering
emergency
physician
who, in
between
stints at
the Keller
Center, now
spends her
time
writing,
speaking,
and
appreciating
life on the
Coast.
Dr T has
presented a
workshop
called
Writing
Your Story
from True
Life
Experiences.
She has
also
presented a
workshop,
How to
Develop a
Writing
Practice
for
Improved
Health and
Productivity,
to help
people in
the
healthcare
field
address
their own
stress
caused by
vicarious
traumatization.

Palmer
Adora
Palmer, a
prolific
writer,
well known
to many
local
Half Moon
Bay folks,
can be
found
writing a
little
something,
somewhere,
just about
any time of
day or
night. Her
writing
captures
everyday
life and
brings
smiles of
recognition
to her
readers.
Adora has
studied
nursing and
journalism.
With her
husband,
Alan, and
her
daughter
and
son-in-law,
Kendra and
Lance
Anderson,
Adora
remains
active in
teaching
spirometry
training
courses all
over the
country.
Adora will
